This holiday season, Grungo Colarulo was honored to give back to the community by holding our second annual Holiday Bikes for Kids. This giveaway truly warms our hearts. We love to see the expression on these kids’ faces when they receive a brand new bike for the holidays. It is a great way to reward worthy children in the community that deserve a nice holiday surprise.
We couldn’t have found these deserving kids without help from community members who generously took the time to nominate these children.We hope to continue this tradition in the coming years to spread bike safety awareness and holiday cheer!
2020 Winners
While this summer wasn’t what many of us expected, Grungo Colarulo brightened the days of a few children by providing them with bikes! For the third year in a row, our firm provided deserving children with bicycles. This year, we selected three winners: Breanna, Robbie, and Leora. Breanna is 11 years old and has lots of energy! She was thrilled to own a bike of her own. Robbie is the oldest of 5 siblings and gave his old bikes to his younger siblings and didn’t have one to ride himself anymore. Now we’ve changed that! Lastly, Leora is learning to ride a two-wheel bike and needed her own to practice with. Check out the video below to see each winner receiving their bike!
We also provided the other children who were nominated with $10 gift cards.

This year, we are excited to reward Azuri and Zamyra with brand new bikes. Azuri is helpful and selfless, always lending a hand to her classmates. Zamyra is sweet, thoughtful and very deserving of her new bike. We are hopeful that Azuri and Zamyra will not only enjoy their holiday presents, but also promote bike safety to their peers.

2017 Winners
Picking our winners is always a difficult task! With a focus on promoting bike safety and being a role model for their peers, Antonio, Franchesca Berroa and Benedicto Zepeda Jr. truly represent what it means to overcome adversity.
Antonio is a five-year old who had his bike stolen earlier this year. He has a big personality and helps with a lot of chores at home. As you can see in the video below we rewarded him with a new bike this summer.
Overcoming a tough 2016 school year, Franchesca went back to school stronger than ever. In addition to offering to build bikes for other kids in the community, Benedicto dedicates his extra time to his studies.
These three kids were excited to receive their brand new bikes and we were happy to provide them. We care about our community and we wanted to do our part by recognizing these outstanding students. It was our goal to promote bicycle safety while giving some great kids a great gift, and we did just that!
