Ana Valderrama

Receptionist/Legal Assistant
South Jersey personal injury lawyer

I was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Ciales, Puerto Rico with my family. Life there was incredibly challenging, especially growing up and attending school in Puerto Rico. My family wanted a good future for us, so, we moved to Vineland, NJ in 1985 where I still reside. I attended Vineland High School and graduated in 1999. My parents taught me responsibility and the value of demanding work. One I graduated high school, I was not sure if I wanted to attend college. I decided that I would work to help my parents. In 2003, I started a job at a personal injury law firm in Vineland. I worked there for 16 years as a file clerk and later took on the responsibilities of a Legal Assistant while taking care of my two daughters as a single parent.

I served as Spanish interpreter for the office. Clients were comfortable in speaking with me and seeing how I listened to them and how I could help the lawyers on the case. In 2017 my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer and as a result, I had to take a family leave to care for my mother until she passed in 2018. I remained out of work for a while to recover mentally and to focus on my daughters. Two years ago, I returned to work full-time and worked for a bankruptcy lawyer as a legal secretary where I was to learn and acquire new skills in that field.

Joining Grungo Law Firm has given me the confidence to know my work value and I am looking forward to growing with the company for as long as they will have me.

I am currently engaged to a wonderful man. I have two beautiful adult daughters and two amazing grandbabies. They are my everything in life. I love spending time with my family and stay spiritual with God. Very thankful and blessed to have what I have.
